What a fantastic morning of tennis on Sunday 7th June at the Rye Lawn Tennis Club French Open Tournament!
Over the course of three hours, sixteen players took to the courts and produced some excellent doubles tennis that would have been worthy of a Parisian crowd. From impressive rallies to closely fought points, the standard of play was outstanding throughout the event.
A special mention goes to the youngest competitor, aged just ten, who played with great enthusiasm and skill alongside the more experienced players.
After a series of entertaining matches, Tina emerged victorious in the opening competition, while Tom proudly lifted the coveted *Coupe de Grenouille* to round off a memorable morning.
The tennis was matched by the social atmosphere, with players enjoying fresh croissants and coffee in the clubhouse after their games, providing the perfect French Open touch to the occasion.
Thank you to everyone who took part and helped make the event such a success. Your enthusiasm, sportsmanship, and support created a wonderful morning for all involved.
