Mixed Doubles Tournament

There was a good turnout for a friendly members mixed doubles tournament, organised by Amy Maynard, on the Club’s grass courts on Sunday 30th August. Forty-eight members were divided into four groups to do battle among themselves, before the winners of each group went on to play a semi-final and then a final. The eventual victors were the strong pairing of Vicki Lowe and Scott Brotherton (also winners of last year’s Farmer Tournament, with trophy below), who beat husband and wife team Jason and Sophie Stubbs. Although being held under Covid regulations, the members enjoyed being able to get together again and a fun afternoon was had by all.
