Rye LTC coach Frances Candy ran a successful junior tennis camp at the club during the third week of August. Sadly, due to Covid 19, three earlier summer camps had to be cancelled. While the weather conditions were mixed – from sunshine to wind and heavy rain – the children all made good progress, with the emphasis on fun as well as teaching essential basic tennis skills. A tournament on the last day saw some competitive play between the boys and girls teams, ending in a draw and prizes and medals for all.
There will be a half-term camp at the club from Monday 26th October to Friday 30th October, from 1.00-4.00pm daily. Contact Frances on fjcandy@talktalk.net.
