The 8 grass courts were immaculate and a treat to play on and the grounds were looking magnificent too with the beautiful floral displays. A huge thank you to Adam Stunt and Freddie Menzies for preparing the grass courts and grounds to such a high standard.
Simon Crispin was victorious in the men’s singles, winning a closely fought quality match against Ollie Bearcroft on a championship tie break.
The ladies’ singles final was another closely contested match with Vicki Lowe fighting back from 1-5 to beat Melanie Baynton-Perret in the tie break, 7-6.
Phil Harper and Scott Brotherton were victorious in the men’s playing some magnificent tennis against Simon Crispin and Bob Thomson who provided spirited opposition.
Congratulations to Heather Mott and Vicky Lowe for winning the ladies doubles again. They saw off strong opposition from Claire Myatt and Clare Crawshay-Williams in the final.
Many thanks to Tom Meyer and Alison Thomson for providing a delicious bbq and salad lunch.
Thank you for supporting the tournament and we look forward to seeing you all again next year.
