A fantastic Stinger Cup this year with more entries than ever before. Yet another amazing day full of some brilliant tennis and celebrations. George Spedding was nominated the 2019 players’ player and was very deserving of it. The day finished with an extremely tense, if not one-sided, final between two new entries, Tom Silvey and Petra Bailey (daughter of long-standing member Peter Bailey) and Rye’s very own summer groundsman Jim Ross and his partner from London, Izzy Enock. After a lot of cheering for the home team, Tom and Petra were victorious. Thank you everyone who came and can’t wait to see who will be in the final next year …
