Our Annual Junior Tournament delivered three fantastic days of tennis at Rye Lawn Tennis Club, with brilliant matches, glorious weather and an incredible turnout of young players.
From the opening singles matches through to a packed final day, it was fantastic to see so many juniors out on court competing, supporting one another and enjoying everything the tournament has to offer.
The tournament got underway with the Boys’ and Girls’ Singles, with some excellent tennis on display throughout the day.
In the Boys’ Singles Final, local Rye member Freddie Furnival took on Will Wixley. After a great match between the two finalists, Will came through to claim this year’s Boys’ Singles title.
The Girls’ Singles Final was an all-family affair, with sisters Olivia and Imogen Purnell facing each other for the title. Imogen came through to be crowned our 2026 Girls’ Singles Champion.

Day Two brought an incredible 160 children to the club for the Boys’ and Girls’ Doubles, filling the courts on a glorious sunny day in Rye.
There were some fantastic matches throughout, with Nico Rainbird & Max Young eventually taking the Boys’ Doubles title, while Olivia Purnell & Camilla Voute were crowned Girls’ Doubles Champions.

The third and final day saw another brilliant turnout, with 45 pairs battling it out to finish the Junior Tournament on a high.
The final saw Olivia Purnell & Freddie Furnival take on Imogen Purnell & Jasper Cox.
After another great match, Olivia and Freddie came through to take the title and bring three fantastic days of junior tennis to a close.

A huge congratulations to all of our champions and finalists, but most importantly, a massive well done to every junior who took part across the three days.
It was fantastic to see the club filled with so many young players enjoying competitive tennis, from local Rye members to those who travelled to join us for the tournament.
