Padel Marathon Raises Over £1,700 for the Poole Field Fund

On Sunday 31st May, Rye Lawn Tennis Club coaches Mark and Ewan took on an incredible challenge in support of the club’s future development.

From 8am until 9pm, the pair completed a gruelling 13-hour padel marathon, facing a rotating lineup of club members throughout the day. Despite the physical demands of spending over half a day on court, both coaches successfully completed the challenge and were still smiling at the finish line.

The event was organised to raise money for the Poole Field Fund and the club’s exciting new development plans. Thanks to the fantastic support and generosity of members, friends, family, and spectators who came along to play, donate, and cheer them on, the fundraiser has already raised just over £1,700.

The club would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who took part, donated, or came down to support Mark and Ewan throughout the day. The atmosphere was brilliant, and the event showcased the strong community spirit that makes Rye Lawn Tennis Club so special.

While the marathon may be over, there’s still time to help push the fundraising total even higher. With just a little more support, we can reach the £2,000 milestone and make an even bigger contribution towards the Poole Field Fund and the club’s future development.

If you would like to contribute, donations can still be made via the Padel Marathon Entry page.

Thank you once again to Mark, Ewan, and everyone who helped make the day such a success.
