A Proper Christmas Racket at Rye Lawn Tennis Club

There was a proper Christmas Racket at Rye Lawn Tennis Club on 13 December, as members and guests came together to celebrate the festive season in style at our annual Christmas Party.

The clubhouse was buzzing as around 100 members and friends packed in for an evening of live music, festive food, and great company. Padel member Mike Willis put together a spectacular band for the night, featuring local legend Blair MacKichan, and they certainly didn’t disappoint. The music raised the roof and kept the dancefloor full from start to finish.

One of the evening’s most memorable moments came when our President took to the dancefloor, delighting everyone with some impressive moves to classics including Teenage Dirtbag and Ice Ice Baby. It was a sight that won’t be forgotten in a hurry.

Festive cheer was flowing thanks to plenty of mulled wine, alongside fantastic food, including delicious local charcuterie from Moons Green, which helped keep everyone fuelled for an evening of dancing and celebration

A huge thank you to Mike Willis, Blair MacKichan, and everyone involved in making the night such a success, and to all those who came along and got stuck in.
