Over three days of non-stop tennis, Rye’s junior players showcased their skill, determination, and sportsmanship in front of an enthusiastic crowd of families and friends.
Organised by Amanda Hoffman and her dedicated team of helpers, the courts were alive with action from start to finish.
The boys’ singles final saw local RLTC member Ollie Bearcroft take on Joe Couchman-Seal in a thrilling contest, with Ollie emerging victorious.
In the girls’ singles, Olivia Purnell claimed the title after a close battle with Imogen Robinson.
Day two featured the doubles action, with Thomas McAuliffe and James Roots winning the boys’ doubles, while Esme Brady-Rogerson and Florence Rajak took the girls’ doubles crown – a special moment as Esme is also an RLTC member!
The mixed doubles final on day three was a local Rye derby, with Freddie Furnival and Olivia Purnell overcoming Evie Hoffman and Rory Wooster in a gripping finale.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped run the tournament and to all the players for making this year’s event such a success – the future of tennis at Rye looks bright!
