We had an incredible day at Rye Lawn Tennis Club as we opened our doors to the community for a fun-filled Open Day alongside our grass court tournament. The sun was shining, the courts were buzzing, and there was something for everyone to enjoy – with free tennis and padel sessions running throughout the morning.
A huge thank you to the HotshotZ team who delivered fantastic tennis and padel sessions. We were delighted to see so many new faces giving both sports a go – as well as members sharpening their skills in a fun, welcoming atmosphere. It really was a day for all ages and abilities.
A special highlight was the padel exhibition match, featuring an exciting display from our very own padel coach Ewan Hopkins. He teamed up with Michael Gradon to take on Rudi Beerenson and Matt Collins from Square One Padel – thank you to all four players for bringing such great energy to the court!
Off court, the clubhouse bar was in full swing – thanks to Denys for keeping the refreshments flowing and spirits high throughout the day!
Running alongside the Open Day was our grass court tournament, open to members and non-members alike. Congratulations to our group winners:
