About the Event

Join us for the Legacy Fund Garden Open Evening at the Copper House garden, where you’ll enjoy drinks and canapés while exploring this stunning space, open annually for the National Gardens Scheme.

The Copper House features a modern flower garden with succession planting designed to provide interest and color throughout the season. You’ll discover a delightful mix of annuals, perennials, bulbs, and shrubs, a charming wildflower meadow, an orchard, and three small ponds that encourage local wildlife, including recently renovated woodland ponds.

The evening also highlights the Rye Lawn Tennis Club Legacy Fund—a powerful way to support the club without any cost during your lifetime. This fund aims to preserve the unique qualities of our fabulous club for future generations. Leaving a legacy is simple: if you already have a will, we can provide a codicil to easily amend it. If you haven’t made a will yet, you can add a clause to leave a specified sum to Rye Lawn Tennis Club.

Half of the annual donations will go towards the club’s running costs, while the other half will be invested to provide means-tested support for local children wishing to learn tennis and to maintain our fantastic grass courts. Your legacy could help nurture the next Tim Henman!

If you have specific wishes for your legacy, we will honor them. For more information or to discuss how you can leave a legacy to support our club, please contact Ellie Cochrane at eleanor.cochrane@btinternet.com.

For all events taking part on the grass courts, please can all players come wearing shoes that are designed for tennis. Predominantly white clothing must be worn. Learn More
