It was a non-stop three days of tennis meaning Amanda Hoffman and her team of helpers were kept frantically busy rounding up nearly 200 children to play their matches and, in some cases, helping to keep the score!
Over 80 children competed on day one with Luke Pakenham winning the boys singles, and Alice Hoffman winning the girls’ event.
On day two 160 children aged between 8 and 18 competed for the girls’ and boys’ doubles trophies. Imogen Robinson and Freya Mocke won the girls events. Carl Mocke and Harvey White won the boys’ event.
Olly Furnival, Simon Lambert and Alex Hoffman cooked up a storm on the bbq after the doubles event which was much enjoyed despite some disappointingly damp weather.
Then on Friday it was the mixed doubles and another 80 children competing for the trophy with Lara Lambert and Freddie Furnival winning the trophy.
