For the first time, Rye Lawn Tennis Club now has two mixed teams competing in the Wealden League – an exciting milestone for our club!
Our First Team, promoted to Division 1 at the end of last season, has had an incredible start. After completing all five home fixtures over the summer, they currently sit at the top of the Division 1 leaderboard with an impressive 27 points from 5 games. As we head into the winter season with five away matches to go, we’re all hoping they can hold onto that top spot!
Meanwhile, our Second Team, competing in Division 3 for the first time, has also completed their six home games. This division is proving to be very competitive, with just four points separating five teams. Despite sitting fifth at the moment, there’s everything to play for as the season continues.
A special thank you to all our players across both teams for their fantastic effort and commitment this year. Stay tuned for our end-of-season update in March, when we’ll share the final standings and highlights from both squads.
