Congratulations to one of our junior members, Esme Brady Rogerson, who recently won the 2023 LTA Sussex Tennis 14u Sportsmanship Award.
“I was so chuffed to be nominated, delighted to be shortlisted and absolutely thrilled to have won this award. For the support and kindness so many people have shown to me – my parents, my coaches, county captains and my peers and my club, a huge thank you for all you have done for me to be where I am now.”
Esme recently got the chance to represent Rye LTC at the Play Your Way to Wimbledon County Finals in West Worthing in 2022 and went on to represent Rye and Sussex at the All England Club in August as the county runner up.
“It was good to finally get to compare the Rye grass courts with their AELTC counterparts. Hopefully I will get to do it all again this year and maybe even inch closer with results.”
